Description:
This one-hour presentation reviews the differences between conditioned and unconditioned crawlspaces from a code perspective. The interactive session will also discuss benefits, which environments are conducive and best practices for installation.
Bio:
Jerry Peterson
Jerry Peterson is the owner of Home Energy Services LLC specializing in residential energy efficiency. The company provides consultation, building plan optimization reviews, energy modeling, on-site inspections, and a variety of in person and online commercial and residential energy efficiency trainings that are both locally and internationally approved.
He was previously employed with the Idaho Division of Building Safety as the HVAC Program Manager (2010 – 2016) and Energy Program Manager (2010 – 2019). Jerry’s introduction to the Division of Building Safety in August, 2010 came with the directive to define and design a strategic plan for the HVAC and Energy programs to include the management of the 2009 Energy Code and subsequent requirements. His duties also address HVAC and Energy plan reviews, commercial and residential HVAC and Energy inspections. His primary responsibility was to develop and deliver statewide contractor, tradesperson and inspector training, and oversight of various residential energy programs.
