Description:

The built industry has focused its efforts on measuring and reducing operational carbon emissions, carbon emissions related to materials used in our projects is gaining relevance; measuring, understanding, and reducing these emissions should be a key addition to all design practices. This presentation will cover general embodied carbon concepts, Whole-Building Life-Cycle Assessment (WBLCA) tools to quantity embodied carbon in buildings, and tools for all disciplines to start the conversations.
