Success Stories

  • Banner Bank - Boise, ID
The highly visible Banner Bank Building, the first LEED Platinum office speculative building in the world, also has a great integrated design story to tell. The owner of Banner Bank, Christensen Corporation, used a rigorous integrated design process with the design team and the Integrated Design Lab that resulted in a building that performs 49% better than baseline.
  • Idaho Central Credit Union - Chubbuck, ID
The design team on this project committed early in the programming phase to include substantial daylighting and other high performance strategies resulting in modeled annual energy savings of $41,777.
  • Endeavor Elementary - Nampa, ID
The Endeavor Elementary School high performance demonstration classrooms are the latest effort by the innovative Nampa School District and their partners; the Boise Integrated Design Lab; the designers; Idaho Power and the Idaho Office of Energy Resources. These classrooms sit next to conventional classrooms and are providing reliable energy data that will be used to better inform the District's future design decisions. These classrooms, as well as certain aspects of the rest of the school, are an innovative model for energy efficiency in Idaho and the rest of the US.
  • Barber Park - Boise, ID
The Barber Park recreation facility along the Boise River is another innovative project from the Ada County Parks and Recreation Department. This LEED building uses a variety of integrated strategies including daylighting and external shading, high insulation values combine with high performance windows, and careful space considerations to allow large areas to be unconditioned due to low use in the winter months.
